چکیده
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are a family of cell-derived membrane that present in almost all body fluids. EVs have gained significant interest over the last decades as mediators key functions numerous patho-physiological condition (clearance, signalling, trophic support, cargo delivery) and potential prognostic or diagnostic biomarkers. The endogenous delivery capacities these nanometric entities also hold high engineered drug nanocarriers for clinical pharmaceutical applications, especially targeted therapies. Nevertheless, knowledge about features individual (composition, physical chemical characteristics) is still at infancy because technical challenges to purify analyze various subpopulations EVs. In this review, comprehensive overview electrokinetically driven methods isolation, enrichment characterization presented. This review covers new trends analytical science (over 7 years up till 2020), serving high-quality production, analysis quality control, which expected provide powerful complementary alternatives conventional recently emerged approaches such microfluidics. We critically discuss here pros cons different instrumental methodological developments electrokinetic strategies applied

Isolation and characterization of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii extracellular vesicles
Introduction: Extracellular vesicles (EVs) contain active biological compounds which play important roles in biological processes. The secretion of EVs is a common phenomenon which occurs in archaea, bacteria and mammalian cells. The secretion of bacterial EVs has been discovered in various species of both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Faecalibacterium prausnitzii is one of the comm...

Extracellular vesicles (EVs), including exosomes and microvesicles, are present in a variety of bodily fluids, and the concentration of these sub-cellular vesicles and their associated biomarkers (proteins, nucleic acids, and lipids) can be used to aid clinical diagnosis. Although ultracentrifugation is commonly used for isolation of EVs, it is highly time-consuming, labor-intensive and instrum...
متن کاملCurrent methods for the isolation of extracellular vesicles.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs), including microvesicles and exosomes, are nano- to micron-sized vesicles, which may deliver bioactive cargos that include lipids, growth factors and their receptors, proteases, signaling molecules, as well as mRNA and non-coding RNA, released from the cell of origin, to target cells. EVs are released by all cell types and likely induced by mechanisms involved in on...
متن کاملEnrichment of calcifying extracellular vesicles using density-based ultracentrifugation protocol
Calcifying extracellular vesicles (EVs) released from cells within atherosclerotic plaques have received increased attention for their role in mediating vascular calcification, a major predictor of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. However, little is known about the difference between this pathologic vesicle population and other EVs that contribute to physiological cellular processes. One...
متن کاملMethods for Extracellular Vesicles Isolation in a Hospital Setting
The research in extracellular vesicles (EVs) has been rising during the last decade. However, there is no clear consensus on the most accurate protocol to isolate and analyze them. Besides, most of the current protocols are difficult to implement in a hospital setting due to being very time-consuming or to requirements of specific infrastructure. Thus, our aim is to compare five different proto...
